Elegant Baby Girl Nursery Makeover: A Mickey & Minnie Inspired Transformation

Elegant Baby Girl Nursery Makeover: A Mickey & Minnie Inspired Transformation

Updating our master bathroom was suppose to be a massive $15k+ renovation last year. But other things have come up and we had to shift funds.

I hate our master bathroom because of the flow and look. And I have honestly neglected it a bit since I had planned on renovating it. But since it will happen now in a few years down the road, I decided to update this space on a budget so I can at least stand it till then lol.

About 2 years ago we updated our vanities and sinks, so that was already done. So now it’s time to refresh the rest. But let’s start from the beginning.

What it looks like now:

  1. Bland peel and stick wallpaper – I need to refresh this

  2. Popcorn ceilings all over – I just hate this. It dates the house terribly but it’s expensive and messy to remove. I am saving towards this in the future.

  3. Our bathroom and shower area small – It is extremely small because of the door that separates this room from the bathroom vanities. The door I feel is unnecessary and it should be removed when we do the massive reno.

  4. Low ceiling in the shower/tub area – there is a massive fan in the ceiling that is extremely low and needs to be removed. Again this will be removed in the future as well a the popcorn ceiling.

  5. Brown tub – Oh the horror! A brown jacuzzi tub. It’s terrible and it’s surrounded by mirrors.

Check out some of the before pictures of our bathroom space. The first picture is the updated vanities and current mirrors etc but we are switching it up soon! The next two pictures is what we walked into when we purchased the home. What a difference rigth?

So excited to get this project on a budget started! Check out my moodboards below for the space and be inspired! Click the pictures for details!

If you take some of these tips, it could really change the dynamic of your home. Also, shop my home here.

Day 1 – A Sign that is Consistent

Day 1 – A Sign that is Consistent

Isaiah 7:14

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Signs. Those are the things people are always looking for, especially when they need to confirm something. Sometimes, the signs are not that obvious and the only way to see them is through allowing God to handle it. Can we, as Christians, do that? Can we, as Christians, put our complete trust in God to lead the way?

If we truly do that, God can bless us with unbelievable gifts or a meaningful sign. Jesus’ birth was a sign that represents the consistency of God’s promise. His birth is the beginning of salvation for everyone. Let’s celebrate the beginning of the season by celebrating the verses shared way before Jesus was even born. Amen!

What do you want to get out of this study?

Prayer:

Lord, as we know, Immanuel means “God with us,” and we thank You so much for the birth of Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the Old Testament, for all the amazing verses and prophets that foreshadowed His coming. As we enter this season, we want to lift up our praises to You and thank You for the sign given long ago—a promise fulfilled with the virgin birth of Your Son, called Immanuel. Father, we love You, and we praise You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Relying on God Through Others

Relying on God Through Others

As I’ve gotten older, especially after becoming a mom, I’ve noticed how much of a control freak I can be. I think it comes from wanting to protect and provide the best for my child, Sage, and even for our dog. Naturally, I want to have a say in everything. So, when it comes to relying on someone else—especially when it involves my well-being or that of my loved ones—it’s challenging. And trusting that God will work through someone else? That’s even tougher.
